what's the difference between the Expression and the Restrictions

I just wrote a method, and found out the Expression.Eq(i used this before), but some place we use the Restrictions.Eq .
so I search for it.. and found out the Expression class was replace by Restrictions class, but it can still be used.
ok..it's just a mark for it...gotta go.it's time for dinner.
